Most of us think that the word Good in the phrase means only good things can happen. That if bad, painful situations are arising, then that is not good and so, not a Higher Good. However, the Higher in Higher stands for higher growth and expansion and unfortunately there is none without challenge and crisis.

 The only subconcious driver we have is that of being safe (did you know?). The clear sense that we shouldn't sit on a ledge, but can on a fence, that we shouldn't be trying to fly by flapping our hands, but we can with a kite... being safe is a primitive potent survival mechanism and we are driven by it 100% of the time. If we knew for a fact that we would be safe making certain choices, we would make them without batting an eyelid!

 

Whatever changes you are being driven towards, you will find the most excuses to hold back if it doesn't feel safe. You may not think, "oh I am not safe with that", but that is exactly what we would be going on

 

Tough life experiences shape our definitions of safety and so while valid, rob us of the joy of the new, of risk and adventure and taking a chance on ourselves

Money, fame, fortune is linked to it and we can spend years trying to get it back or get more. Power is such a crucial part of our lives - it gives us rights we didn't have before and strengthens the ones we do have. At it's most fundamental, power is choice and choice is power. And we always have a choice... When we combine making a choice with an awakened self, there is no way we could go wrong!

This meditation circle can bring up great doses of energy or conversely, deep sadness and regret. Either way, it will pass, so be with it as best you can

When we can feel scattered, anxious, frustrated, out of control, have knee jerk reactions, miscommunications and misunderstandings - we can get totally ungrounded, haunted by old grudges and memories as the mind dithers. We can get more forgetful and overlook details and nittigritties as our own mental chatter takes over. We can get extremely emotional or extremely judge-mental, so watch out for either!

 

One of the best ways to manage this time is by staying organised (it grounds us immediately!) and using the time we get to ourselves (that traffic jam!) planning, researching, using the meditation circle, chatting with friends , using decrees and holding a finger or two :) The mudra to hold is the middle finger + ring finger together. So we would do it with the opposite hand and once we have yawned or sighed or burped, switch to the opposite hand
